ACADEMICS

Academics

At The Garda School, learning is active, engaging, and rooted in the real world. We believe that true education goes beyond textbooks and exams—it’s about developing the skills, curiosity, and confidence students need to thrive in life.

Ms. Gray and Ms. Malacrino are two of the many native-English speakers teaching at the Garda School.

Our small classes bring together boys and girls from around the world in a welcoming, respectful environment where diverse ideas and perspectives are valued. Students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, engage in open debate, and explore new ways of thinking.

We make our community part of the classroom. Through frequent hands-on projects, field trips, and partnerships with local organizations, students apply their learning in meaningful ways—whether solving a real-world problem, studying local history on site, or collaborating with peers on creative and scientific projects. These experiences are designed to foster independence, resilience, and a sense of responsibility to others.

The timetable runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with time for breaks, movement, and meals.

Core academic subjects are complemented by life skills courses such as Financial Literacy and Digital Media Leadership, equipping students for success in a rapidly changing world. We also place emphasis on healthy habits, including time management, physical activity, and balanced nutrition.
