Learning Support

We Support Students

Every student learns differently — and at The Garda School, we see that as a strength. Our approach to learning support ensures that each child is met where they are and guided to where they can go, with encouragement, expertise and genuine care.

Individualized Support

  • Small Class Sizes: With intentionally small classes, teachers are able to notice each student’s needs, provide direct support, and adapt lessons in real time.

  • One-on-One Instruction: Personalized sessions help students strengthen specific skills, close gaps, and build confidence.

  • English as a Second Language (ESL) Support: For students still developing English fluency, we provide targeted instruction so they can thrive in an English-language environment while fully participating in school life.

Specialist Expertise

Our teachers include certified special education specialists who bring training and experience in tailoring curriculum to a wide variety of learning needs and exceptionalities. Whether a student requires additional scaffolding, enrichment, or alternative strategies, our team knows how to adapt the program to help them succeed.

A Whole-Child Approach

We believe learning support is about more than academics. By combining structure with flexibility, our supports build confidence, independence, and resilience, equipping students with skills they will use for life. Families are active partners in this process, with regular updates and open communication ensuring that progress is visible and celebrated.

At The Garda School, learning support isn’t an add-on — it’s an integral part of how we teach. Our goal is simple: to help every student reach their full potential, both inside and outside the classroom.
