Travelling to school

Situated in the historic centre of Desenzano del Garda, our school overlooks the waters of Lago di Garda. 

Situated in the historic centre of Desenzano del Garda, our school is located at Piazza Giacomo Matteotti 22, overlooking the lake. Students step right into the community for hands-on projects, local activities, or simply a gelato after class.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

  • Morning drop-off: begins at 8:50 a.m. at the school entrance. Staff will be on hand to greet students and parents.

  • Afternoon pick-up: begins at 3:30 p.m. and ends at 3:45 p.m. with staff supervision.

  • Tuesday Market Day: Because Piazza Matteotti hosts the weekly market, pick-up and drop-off take place at an alternate nearby location. Parents will be notified with details before the school year begins.

Via Car

We are located in the heart of the historic centre, opposite the ferry terminal. The closest parking areas are Parcheggio Maratona (waterfront parking near the port) and Parcheggio Via Gramsci, both within a short walk of the school. Limited street parking is also available around Piazza Matteotti.

Via Train 

Desenzano del Garda-Sirmione train station is the nearest station, about a 10–12 minute walk from the school. Trains run frequently:

  • From Brescia: approx. 20 minutes

  • From Verona Porta Nuova: approx. 20 minutes

Via School Bus

The Garda School also operates a private school bus service. Families interested in joining the route should inquire directly with the school office for details and registration.

Via Public Bus

Several public bus lines connect to Desenzano’s historic center. The closest stop is Piazza Matteotti, just steps from the school entrance. For routes and schedules, please check the Arriva bus service operating local routes around Lake Garda and to nearby towns on lines LN006, LN007, LN009D.
